Research Interests & Current Projects
My research focuses on the interaction between hemostasis and the immune system in pathological conditions. With extensive training in vascular biology, innate immunity, and hemostasis, I explore mechanisms underlying inflammatory responses. Currently, I investigate:
- Pathological effects of snake venoms
- Mechanisms of snake envenomation
- Immune response contributions to the envenoming process
I am eager to recruit undergraduate researchers, attract graduate students and collaborators interested in immunology, toxicology, or vascular biology.
Teaching Philosophy & Student Support
I aim to foster critical thinking, scientific curiosity, and practical skills through research-informed teaching. My approach emphasizes real-world applications and inclusive learning environments. I mentor students actively, guiding their engagement in research and professional development.
